This Policy is only applicable to the DISCOVER Robotics Products that you purchased for your own use and not for resale.
4.1 Valid Warranty Documentation
To request warranty service, customers need to provide a valid proof-of-purchase, such as a sales invoice or a sales contract issued by DISCOVER Robotics or its authorized retailers.
4.2 Warranty Period
1. Warranty Duration
All DISCOVER Robotics’ Products are covered by a 12-month warranty service period.
2. Warranty Start Date
The warranty period begins automatically from the date the customer receives and signs for delivery of the equipment. The standard warranty period is 12 months. If a sales contract signed between the customer and DISCOVER Robotics specifies different warranty terms, the terms stated in the sales contract shall prevail.
3. Warranty Service Coverage
Under normal operating conditions, if, during the warranty period, equipment experiences performance failures or functional abnormalities caused by non-human factors, non-external damage, and non-violation of operating requirements, DISCOVER Robotics will provide free inspection, free repair, and free replacement of eligible components. If the sales contract specifies additional warranty service terms, those contractual terms shall prevail.
4.3 Warranty Replacement Rules
- All replacement components provided during the warranty period shall be original DISCOVER Robotics components, inspected and qualified by DISCOVER Robotics, and compliant with equipment usage standards.
- If the entire device is replaced with a new unit during the warranty period, the replacement unit will inherit the remaining warranty period of the original device. The warranty period will not restart.
- If only components are replaced, replacement components will inherit the remaining warranty period of the original device. If the remaining warranty period is less than 3 months, the replacement components will receive a unified 3-month warranty period.
4.4 What These After-Sales Policies Do Not Cover
DISCOVER Robotics reserves the right to determine, based on technical inspection and diagnostic evidence, whether a reported issue falls within the exclusions listed below. Customers may request a detailed inspection report upon reasonable request, and DISCOVER Robotics will, based on the specific situation, provide corresponding maintenance or parts replacement for the DISCOVER Robotics product you purchased. But the following cases are not covered by the free warranty:
- Beyond the warranty period.
- Damage caused by improper use (such as falling, squeezing, immersion, violent use, etc.).
- Product malfunction caused by the usage of non-original accessories, self-maintenance or replacement of the parts without official instruction.
- Damage caused by human factors that is not attributable to a product quality defect.
- Product damage caused by behaviors such as unauthorized modification, disassembly, shell opening, etc.
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, usage, and operation not in accordance with the product brochure.
- Damage caused by the manipulation in severe environments including but not limited to intense electromagnetic interference, rain, sand weather, wetland, complex geological circumstances, etc.
- Damage caused by the manipulation in condition of sharp terrain, severe fluctuation, etc.
- Damage caused by tumble or fall when manipulating robot on level ground, by collision between robot and people or object in complex environment.
- Damage caused by overloading in the case of exceeding the safe load bearing capacity.
- Damage caused by various violence or non-violence imposed on the robot which reaches its anti-interference limit.
- Damage caused by unauthorized usage of non-original battery packs to power the robot.
- Damage caused by compatibility and reliability issues when using the third-party product simultaneously.
- Damage caused by forced operation with damaged and aging components.
- Hitting with hard objects, fall, obvious collision marks and scratch marks on robot surface caused by misoperation.
- There are obvious water stains on the surface and inside of the robot and corrosion marks on components and circuit boards due to the use in humid environment.
- Damage caused by the use of self-developed programs in developer mode.
